This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) explains how TURTU INDIA LLP (“Company”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects your personal information when you use the TURTU User Application (“Platform”).

By downloading, registering, or using the Platform, you agree to this Policy and consent to the collection and processing of your personal information in accordance with applicable Indian laws, including the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We may collect the following categories of information to provide and improve our services:

2.1 Personal Information

Full name, contact number, and email address.
Residential or delivery address.
Identity details (optional) such as PAN, Aadhaar, or GSTIN for billing verification.

2.2 Transactional Information

Order history, payment details, and billing information.
Mode of payment (UPI, debit/credit card, wallet).

2.3 Location Information

GPS data and approximate delivery location for order placement and delivery tracking.

2.4 Device & Technical Information

IP address, device model, operating system, app version, and network type.

2.5 Cookies & Analytical Data

Session cookies and analytical data for app performance, fraud prevention, and personalization.

3. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

Your information is used for the following purposes:

To register and maintain your user account.
To process, confirm, and deliver your orders.
To enable secure payments and issue refunds where applicable.
To communicate order status, offers, and support updates.
To comply with legal, regulatory, or tax obligations.
To enhance service quality, usability, and app security. We do not sell or rent user data to any third party.

4. INFORMATION SHARING AND DISCLOSURE

We may share user data only under the following limited circumstances:

4.1 With Vendors and Delivery Partners

To enable order processing, delivery, and customer support.

4.2 With Payment Gateways

To process secure online payments.

4.3 With Insurance Partners

To facilitate damage or loss claims for parcel deliveries.

4.4 With Legal Authorities

When required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect TURTU’s legal rights.

All third-party partners are contractually bound to maintain data confidentiality and use information only for authorized purposes.

5. DATA STORAGE AND RETENTION

5.1 User data is securely stored on protected servers with encryption and restricted access.

5.2 Payment information is processed through PCI-DSS compliant gateways and not stored on TURTU servers.

5.3 Data is retained only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes mentioned or as required by law (up to 5 years from last transaction).

6. USER RIGHTS

As per the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, Users have the following rights:

Right to Access: Request a summary of personal data collected.
Right to Correction: Request rectification of inaccurate or outdated data.
Right to Erasure: Request deletion of personal data, subject to legal retention obligations.
Right to Withdraw Consent: Withdraw previously given consent for processing.
Right to Grievance Redressal: Seek resolution of complaints related to data handling.

7.1 The Platform uses cookies and analytics tools to enhance performance and improve user experience.

8.1 TURTU implements industry-standard security controls including encryption, firewalls, and multi-factor authentication to protect user data.

8.2 Employees and vendors with access to data are bound by confidentiality agreements.

8.3 Despite our best efforts, no transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and TURTU disclaims absolute liability for any breach beyond reasonable control.

9. DATA TRANSFER

User data is stored and processed within India. TURTU does not transfer personal data outside India except to authorized service providers under strict confidentiality and compliance obligations.

10. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

TURTU services are intended for users aged 18 years or above. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If such information is inadvertently collected, it will be deleted upon verification.

TURTU India LLP reserves the right to modify or update this Privacy Policy at any time to reflect legal, operational, or technological changes. Updated versions will be published within the app and notified via email or in-app alerts. Continued use of the Platform signifies acceptance of the revised Policy.

13. GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION

This Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. All disputes shall be resolved through arbitration at Belagavi, in accordance with the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, with exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Belagavi, Karnataka.
